Honors Biology: Roots Prefixes and Suffixes 2024 Introduction: Believe it or not, a student in a first-year biology class is expected to learn more new words than a student in a first-year foreign language class. Scary, huh? To help make this task easier, you will have quizzes every Friday over root words, suffixes, and prefixes that are used in science- and other disciplines! The first week you will have 14 to learn. The next several weeks you will learn 14 new ones. The quiz for the 2nd week and every week afterwards will include the 14 new plus 7 randomly chosen from the previous week’s list.
