Another similarity is that a person is set to die. One difference in the story is that Jesus actually dies while Isaac is spared by a ram. Another difference was Jesus was to be killed as a punishment, and Isaac was to be killed as a sacrifice. I found these stories very interesting regarding the death sentences.
