Medical Terms Benign - Non-cancerous Edema - Swelling caused by fluid accumulation Fecundity - Being fertile. Malignant - Cancerous Cephalgia - Headache Constipation - Difficult / Delay Labor- the process of childbirth, including contractions, and dilation of the cervix. Chorioamnionitis - An infection inside the uterus affecting the membranes (called the chorion and amnion0 which surround the amniotic fluid. Colostrum - The first breast milk produced during pregnancy and in first few days after your baby is born. Dilation - The process of your cervix opening during labor Endometrium - The lining of the womb (uterus) Fetus - Unborn baby Cervix - The entrance or neck of the womb, at the top of vagina. Antenatal - Before birth biopsy - procedure to remove cells Anemia - A condition where you don’t have enough red blood cells to carry oxygen through your body. Hypertension - High blood pressure Insulin - A hormone that helps control blood sugar levels; often associated with diabetes. Pneumonia - An infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs, which may fill with fluid. Vertigo - A sensation of spinning or dizziness, often caused by issues with the inner ear or balance. Arthritis - Inflammation of the joints causing pain and stiffness. Rash - A change in skin color or texture that can be itchy or painful. Lesion - Tissue damage Hypoxia - Low oxygen levels Bradycardia - Slow heartbeat Dyspnea - Difficulty breathing Fracture - Broken bone Tachycardia - Fast heartbeat Hemorrhage - Excessive bleeding Acidosis - High blood acidity Alopecia - Hair loss Dementia - Memory loss Dermatitis - Skin inflammation Gastritis - Stomach inflammation Hypotension - Low blood pressure Ischemia - Restricted blood flow Cyanosis -A bluish discoloration of the skin due to lock of oxygen in the blood Acute -Sudden and severe Dysphagia -Difficulty swallowing Epistaxis- Nosebleed Contusion - A bruise.
