These adverbs tend to appear right before the main verb in the sentence or at the end of the clause. - **ADVERB OF PLACE -** tell us more about where the verb took place or where something happens. Some adverbs of place can function as prepositions, but note that they are considered adverbs when they modify verbs. In addition, prepositions are followed by objects, while adverbs of place are not. - **Here and there** Here and there are the most common adverbs of place. They give a location relative to the speaker. With verbs of movement, here means \"towards or with the speaker\" and there means \"away from, or not with the speaker\". - Adverb of place ***can be directional*** as well like north, south, up and down. - Adverbs of place ***can also prefer to distances*** like 'nearby, far away and miles apar - Adverbs of place also ***indicate an object position*** in relation to another object like above, below, behind and between - ***There are also adverbs of place that end in 'where'*** that express the idea of location without giving specification like [everywhere, somewhere and anywhere]. - **The adverbs of place that end in 'wards'** express movement in particular direction like upwards, homewards and northwards. - **Adverbs of place expressing both movement & location** Some adverbs of place express both movement & location at the same time.
