The kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra are the main organs that get rid of waste for us. Each of them have a function to allow the system to do its job. Organ Function – What it does for our body Bladder The bladder is a sac that collects the urine and stores it until we can urinate it out of our body. Ureter The ureters are tubes that carry the urine from each kidney to the bladder. Kidneys We are born with two kidneys that are located on each side of our spine. The kidneys main job is to take waste out of the blood and make urine (pee). The kidneys use a filtering system to extract the waste from the blood so that we can urinate it out of our system.
