This Cabin Crew Operations Manual (CCOM) contains extracts from the OM-part A relevant to Flight and Cabin Crew. This Manual describes the required safety and emergency procedures carried out by Smartwings aircrew to ensure that all cabin crew members are aware of their responsibilities and the relationship of such duties to the operation as the whole. The rules and regulations contained in the CCOM and OM-A shall be adhered to by the CC members at all times. However, nothing contained in the CCOM and OM-A shall prevent the CC members from exercising their good judgement in any situation for which this Manual gives no provision or in any emergency situation. CCOM and OM and all other relevant documentation used in the conduct or support of cabin operations: 1. Contains legible and accurate information 2. Is written and published in designated common language (English) to ensure that the content is understood by all CC members 3. Is accepted by the Authority. The text that is subject to prior or special approval is published upon Approval of the Authority. 4. Is presented in a format appropriate for use by CC members: - Each CC member has access to OM-A and CCOM in the EFA web application. Each CC member is obliged to familiarize themselves with the news, directives and memos in ECREW and EFA (Extranet Flight Application) files. - One copy of OM-A and one copy of CCOM is stored in the front part of pax cabin. This Manual serves also for training purposes of Cabin Crew. "CC shall not perform any activity other than to ensure the safety of the aircraft and its occupants, and the comfort of passengers. “ While on duty CC are not permitted to use private PED for their personal needs. #### 0.2 AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY *General:* 1. The Commander has the final responsibility for the performance of flight and is responsible for safety of the aircraft and its occupants. Al crew members are subject to the authority of the commander. 2. Senior Cabin Crew has overall responsibility to the Commander for the conduct, coordination and performance of cabin operations and safety requirements. 3. The cabin crew shall report the accomplishment of the tasks in their responsibility to the Senior Cabin Crew. The Senior Cabin Crew shall report the accomplishment of the tasks to the Commander. 4. The cabin crew shall report any discrepancy found prior to/during/after the flight to the Senior Cabin Crew. The Senior Cabin Crew shall report any discrepancy found prior to/during/after the flight to the Commander. #### 0.3 DOCUMENTATION #### 0.3.1 ON-BOARD LIBRARY IOSA CAB 4.1.2, IOSA CAB 1.6.4 On-board library consists of documents, manuals and forms required for the safe conduct of the flight. For details refer to OM-A 8.1.12.2 *WARNING:* For valid revision of all documents refer to EFA Library. *TOP IMPORTANT:* If (rapid) amendments of cabin safety critical documents (that are still on board in hard copies) are published and if the procedure is addressed to cabin crew (is marked "TO BE PRINTED BY SCC") each SCC shall: 1. Print the current (rapid) amendment(s) 2. Carry on the current (rapid) amendment to the flight 3. Make the current (rapid) amendment available to all CC in the crew (if required) *Note:* The only valid and detailed list of all cockpit documentation is published in OM-A. CC should be familiar with at least following: #### 0.3.1.1 COCKPIT LIBRARY *Note:* For current list of on-board documentation refer to G-MN-01A_A2 Aircraft On-Board Documents. #### 0.3.1.2 CABIN LIBRARY *Note:* For current list of on-board documentation refer to G-MN-01A_A2 Aircraft On-Board Documents. #### 0.3.2 CC BRIEFING PACKAGE CC briefing package is a part of mandatory documentation for flight (for details refer to OM-A, Chapter 8.1.12 Documentation for Flight). Documents contained in the briefing package shall always be carried on board. CC briefing package content: 1. Documents to be printed (Section "Print" or "File" in EFA) for each leg: - In-flight info - CC Trip Information (TI for CC/Route Information) - Other relevant information for the safe conduct of the flight 2. SCC folder - additional documents to be printed. Electronic version of these forms is available in EFA. - Medical report (G-MN-05_F2) - Harm report (G-MN-05_F1) - Finds report (G-MN-09_F1) - UMNR report (G-F-050) - General Declaration (G-F-028) - Passenger Warning (G-F-076) - Security Incident report (G-F-115) - MEDIF (G-F-057) - Passenger Medication Consent Form (G-MN-09_A2) - Trafficking in Persons on Board Report (G-F-339) *Note:* For other forms which are filled by FC (such as: Accident or Incident Notification, Flight Report, Air Traffic Incident Report, Bird Strike Report, Aircraft Lightning Strike Report...) refer to G-MN-05 A3. #### 0.3.3 OTHER ITEMS FOR CC IOSA CAB 1.6.5; IOSA CAB 1.6.7 There are other specific items in a pax cabin, such as: 1. Security kit (handcuffs, reflective strap, IED labels) – part of Additional equipment on EEL 2. Folder with spare Cabin Checklists (stowed together with Announcement Book and Braille Script Card*) - located in the front galley (usually in the windscreen opposite of 1L position or 1st overhead bin) *NOT APPLICABLE FOR A220 AND A320* #### 0.3.4 CARGO DOCUMENTS In some cases (selected stations where cargo transport is in place), handling staff shall provide the flight crew with cargo documents. Usually, cargo documents are in one envelope. Envelope contains AWB (airwaybill, cargo manifest and customs documents where applicable). SCC is responsible for cargo documents storage during the flight and their delivery to the ground staff upon arrival. #### 0.3.5 EEL-EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT LAYOUT IOSA CAB 4.22 IOSA CAB 4.2.3 EEL - the list and the location of all mandatory emergency equipment for each aircraft. Approved by the Authority. LEL - LOOSE EQUIPMENT LIST - the list of additional equipment (applicable for A320 an A220 only). *WARNING:* For valid revision of EELs and LELs refer to EFA Library. #### 0.4 CIVIL AVIATION ORGANIZATIONS The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations that coordinates the principles and techniques of international air navigation, and fosters the planning and development of international air transport to ensure safe and orderly growth. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the global trade association for the airline industry with member airlines worldwide. The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is European Union (EU) agency with the regulatory and executive tasks in the field of civilian aviation safety. #### 0.5 QUALIFICATIONS Each CC member shall hold valid CC Attestation (CCA), Medical Report and a valid CC License (CCL - List of Qualifications) to operate on a specific aircraft type. *CAUTION:* Each CC may hold only one CC Attestation. #### 0.6 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (NEW APPLICANT) IOSA CAB 1.4.2 1. Minimum age 18 years, maximum age is not set 2. High level of English knowledge, tested by Smartwings* 3. Medical fitness in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 1178/2011, tested by the approved Health Institute or aero-medical examiner (AME) 4. Excellent mental resistance and physical competence (ability to swim at least 100m and to swim 10m under water) tested by Smartwings. 5. Clear criminal record 6. Nice and pleasant appearance and perfect social manners 7. Passing interview or selective procedure which is conducted in two steps*: - Written test: English language, level B2 – with result over 75% - Motivation and assessment interview in English language #### 0.7 TRAINING SEQUENCE 1. Applicants selected from interview or selective procedure are enrolled in Initial Training Course 2. Initial Training Course completion 3. Passing exams in theory 4. Issuing of CABIN CREW ATTESTATION 5. Aircraft Type Specific Training and Operator Conversion Training completion 6. Familiarisation flights 7. Practical Type-rating examination 8. En-route examination - skill test 9. Issuing of CC licence 10. Assigning of a CC member to a minimum crew in accordance with ORO.CC.100 #### 0.8 CABIN CREW Cabin crew member means an appropriately qualified crew member, other than a flight crew or technical crew member, who is assigned by an operator to perform duties related to the safety of passengers and flight during operations. The minimum required cabin crew may be augmented under specific conditions. For details refer to OM-A, Chapter 7. #### 0.9 CONTINUOUS COMPETENCE 1. The continuous competence of each CC member is checked regularly during every CC pre-flight briefing by his supervisor * or SCC (according to CCOM 1.2. CC briefing) and monitored during day-to-day operation. 2. The deficiency may be observed during the CC briefing** or during the flight/duty and reported (by SMS report or other). 3. In both cases the authorized CCE will observe the concerned CC member during his next CC briefing and report to CCTM who will decide on the next step: - CC member is recognized as competent and may continue his duty or - CC member is removed from the flight and shall undergo the extraordinary en-route examination (in case of CCM's failure refer to OM-A, chapter 1.6 Misconduct and crew member's suspending) *Notes:* *Supervisor - any person competent to check CC's knowledge, duties and obligations ** If the deficiency observed during the CC briefing is fatal, SCC or the supervisor may request to remove the concerned CC member from the flight and replace him by another CC member (STBY, etc.).
