Location dropdown box- Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Net Logon/DC Locator DNS Records on client computer c. Setting - Use DNS name resolution with a single-label domain name instead of NetBIOS name resolution to locate the DC 4. Sort the new machine to the correct group in Active Directory. Run a "gpupdate /force" and go to check for updates again. Verify that the red banner shows on the Windows Updates screens says, "Managed by your administrator" and hit check for updates. After that, go to CBWWSUS server and sort the new machine in the correct group in WSUS management. 5.
