Distribution: the film will be distributed either in cinemas or online ## Practices for a Successful Art Exhibition 1. **Exhibition Context & Concept** - can be a solo/duo/group exhibition - has a concept with a title & subtext describing it 2. **Finding the Right Venue** - determined by the budget/ and should be affordable while professional - unconventional locations such as garages may be cheap but would look unprofessional to the audience and should be avoided if possible - space matters the most in an exhibition to leave a good impression - location is important, but a good space is preferred 3. **Duration & Timing** - can vary, but short exhibitions have an advantage of having everyone arrive at the same time, leading to a perception of success - spotlighting work after closing day allows making the most out of it - avoid holidays or days when a nearby art fair occurs 4. **Selected Works** - choose the best artworks out of all possible artworks - curate work carefully and theme them to avoid audience confusion 5. **Presentation** - don't show too much artworks as showing less works sells more works because all space gives an elevated sense of value per artwork - quality over money, as higher quality leads to higher ratings and sales - avoid putting unnecessary details on the wall such as ropes and prices - going for an experimental approach can add value to a show, however, this can be a hit or miss overall 6. **Documents & Print** - it can be promoted through posters, flyers, and press release which is sent via physical copies, social media, or email marketing - don't overcomplicate things and make it look professional - include a catalog with available works, checklist with exhibited works, and a mailing list 7. **Promotion & Invitations** - posters and flyers must be ready four weeks before presentation day - add teasers, sneak peeks, and trailers of the exhibition with opening date - use emails via text rather than mailing software for authenticity 8. **Opening Day & The Exhibition** - greet everyone including first-timers and be ready to answer questions - it is normal to not have a successful exhibition as things are learnt
