# REVIEWER IN PS 4 1. The Magna Carta for Women compels the State to provide equal access and to eliminate discrimination in education, scholarships, and training, especially in gender. 2. Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are targeted by the 2030 Framework for Action which includes 'education'. 3. A child who commits a crime is restored and redirected to become a better and more productive member of society through the DSWD programs. This 2006 Act is anchored to the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act. 4. R.A. No. 7610 is a 1992 law that stipulates the protection of all children against any form of abuse, exploitation, and discrimination. 5. R.A. No. 8371 is also known as the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act of 1997. 6. R.A. No. 10533 is also known as the Enhance Basic Education Act of 2013. 7. The Philippine Constitution, Article XIV, Section 1 & 2 mandates the protection and promotion of quality education at all levels. 8. The Salamanca Statement provides that all children should learn together, wherever possible, regardless of their differences and difficulties. 9. Policy Framework provides guidelines, rules, and regulations on how specific programs should be implemented. 10. Aside from learner-centered, DepEd also describes inclusive education through the K-12 Program as context-responsive. 11. States Parties shall respect and ensure the rights outlined in the present Convention to each child within their jurisdiction without discrimination of any kind: color, race, status, gender, religion, ethnic or social origin, nationality, etc. 20. According to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child, a child is every human below the age of eighteen. 21. It is expected that home must provide and let the child experience peace, freedom, and justice. 22. Family is the basic unit of society with the primary purpose of nurturing the human faculties of a child. 23. Right refers to the moral or legal entitlement that must be provided whether it is education, healthcare, welfare, or any natural endowment of a human individual. 24. Convention refers to a specific agreement between and among countries bound by a legal basis intended to adhere to, follow, or execute. 25. Family is the basic unit of the society. 26. The child should grow up in an atmosphere of happiness, love, and understanding. 27. All members of the human family are the foundation of freedom, justice, and peace in the world. 28. States Parties shall take all appropriate measures to ensure that the child is protected against all forms of discrimination. 29. All government and non-government institutions or agencies should highly consider the best interest of the child. 30. Concerning economic, social, and cultural rights, States Parties shall undertake such measures to the maximum extent of their available resources. 31. States Parties recognize that every child has the inherent right to life. 32. States Parties shall ensure that a child shall not be separated from his or her parents against their will. 33. The Family is the basic building block of every society. 34. Article 26 of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that "Everyone has the right to education." 35. Sustainable Development Goal #4 ensures inclusive, equitable, and quality education that promotes life-long learning. 36. Those who leave school at an early age are vulnerable to unemployment, poverty, early marriage, and abuse. 37. The Department of Education (DepEd) is mandated to protect and promote the rights of every Filipino citizen to quality education. 38. K to 12 Basic Education Program recognizes the diversity of the country's learners, schools, and communities. 39. Seeking to be inclusive, K to 12 has broadened the goals of basic education in response to the varied realities of learners and their families by providing a wider range of options. 40. Inclusive Education is a policy perspective realized through the development and implementation of learner-centered and context-responsive programs. 41. The 1994 Salamanca Statement provides that all children should learn together, wherever possible, regardless of any difficulties or differences they may have. 42. Republic Act No. 7610 of 1992 also known as Special Protection Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act declares that it is a State policy to provide special protection to children from all forms of abuse, neglect, cruelty, exploitation, and discrimination.
