PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION Ma’am Rose Mae S. Tecson TELEPHONE GAME PRELIMINARY ACTIVITY WHAT IS COMMUNICATION? Communication is a process of exchanging information from a person to another using different tools or modes (Brantley & Miller, 2008). Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to 1) perform tasks showing the five types of communication, 2) analyze how the elements play a significant role in effective communication. Elements of Communication MODELS OF COMMUNICATION Transmission Model Interactional Model Transactional Model Transmission Model describes communication as a linear, one-way process in which a sender intentionally transmits a message to a receiver (Ellis & McClintock, 1990).
