Abnormal Psychology studies unusual patterns of behaviour, emotion, and thought that may not be understood as precipitating a mental disorder. Its scope is to study people’s emotional, cognitive, and/or behavioural problems, focusing on atypical or abnormal members of society.

Define behaviour as used in psychology.

In psychology, behaviour is regarded as any observable activity by a human being.

Discuss the factors that influence human behaviour.

Most human behaviour results from a combination of factors such as culture, attitudes, emotions, values, ethics, authority, rapport, persuasion, coercion, and genetics.

Explain the A-B-C Model of Behaviour.

The A-B-C Model of Behaviour consists of three components: Antecedent (Trigger), Behaviour (Action), and Consequence (Response). It explains that behaviors occur due to antecedents, and consequences determine whether the behavior will continue or stop.
