- Diversity - Recognizes and values the differences among people and promotes inclusion so everyone can contribute.
- Protected characteristics - Include race, gender, gender reassignment, religion, marriage and civil partnership, maternity, sex, disability, age, and sexual orientation.
Discrimination
- Direct discrimination - Treating someone differently because of their characteristics.
- Indirect discrimination - When an organisation's policies or practices disadvantage a particular group.
