THE ACCOMPLISHMENT 69 WELCOME TO DAZZLE A message from Dazzle CEO: Terry Hi! I'm Terry. I'm the CEO of the Dazzle Cleaning Company. As CEO, I lead our business operations- everything from scheduling, HR, policy management, compliance, and finance. I'm here to help you make the most out of your career with Dazzle. Dazzle's success is rooted in our four founding principles. Regardless of your role at Dazzle, whether on the phone or in a client's home, these four principles will help you make the right decision for your colleagues and clients. WE DO THE RIGHT THING. Sometimes, it's fun to do- like building an inclusive, queer-friendly, and diverse place for people to come to work. But it could be expensive, time-consuming, or annoying. In either case, we know what it means to do the right thing. Often, it is choosing to focus on our long-term, shared success instead of our near-term convenience or profit. WE’RE GOOD TO EACH OTHER. With our employees, clients, community, and each other, we operate from a place of abundance. It might be a contribution to a non-profit, or it might be spending a little extra time with a colleague. We are generous with our time, knowledge, and money. WE DEMONSTRATE PROFESSIONALISM. We are experts in our field. We are fast, reliable, and quality-obsessed. We don't care about tattoos, piercings, or hair color. Our professionalism is about setting an industry standard for client service and trust. WE TAKE ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE. We buy carbon credits to make our footprint carbon-neutral. We pay to plant trees every time we get a review. We use non-toxic chemicals and reusable supplies. We give money to organizations doing climate change and climate justice work. We don't just say we are green. Dazzle makes our commitment to our climate a priority, always. Welcome to the Dazzle Cleaning Company, the gayest cleaning company in America! -Terry 2 THE DAZZLE WAY. THE DAZZLE CLEANING COMPANY, LLC. THE DAZZLE CLEANING COMPANY, LLC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. 2024 CHAPTER FIVE: THE RULES THE RULES We impress by working smarter, not harder WE’RE PREPARED. We keep our bags clean, stocked and organized and we know where everything 1 is. We keep our equipment clean and in good working order. We have fresh and crisp New Client Welcome bags and Leave Behinds. We’re wearing our Dazzle shirt, apron and badge. WE KNOW OUR PRODUCT AND WE ALWAYS READ THE JOB NOTES. We all know the specific 2 items that are included in each type of service that Dazzle offers and we provide that service and we read the job notes at every job. WE’RE CONSISTENT. We know the type of service that we are completing and we know what the 3 expectations are. We all clean the same way, we use the same products, we fold towels the same way and make beds the same way. We always close the shower curtain, leave mints and offer the dog treats. WE KEEP TRACK OF OUR TIME. We‘re fast and efficient and we know how long it takes to complete a job. 4 We pay attention to the clock to keep us on schedule. When we arrive at a job that is under-booked we contact the office right away. WE USE THE RIGHT TOOLS. We don’t scrub a counter with a microfiber cloth when a blue sponge would be faster and easier. We don’t use dusters on dirty or wet surfaces, we use cleaning clothes for those jobs to 5 avoid a mess. We only use as much product as we need as too much product takes longer to clean and increases the chances of streaks. WE WORK TOP TO BOTTOM, LEFT TO RIGHT AND BACK TO FRONT. Working in this organized way prevents us from re-cleaning areas and prevents us from 6 missing items. We don’t backtrack and we only go around the room once, except for in the bathroom. This is how we clean the home and how we clean each room. IF IT ISN’T DIRTY WE DON’T CLEAN IT BUT WE CHECK EVERYTHING AND WE ALWAYS CHECK OUR 7 WORK. We check our work when we complete each room because we’re committed to excellence. 28 THE DAZZLE WAY. THE DAZZLE CLEANING COMPANY, LLC. CLEANING SOLUTIONS SHINE SPRAY: This is our most mild cleaning solution, and is therefore the least likely to leave streaks or film. It is perfect for glass and mirrors. It is in the silver labeled bottle and comes only in small bottles that are easy to hang off of your apron. SPARKLE SPRAY: One step up from Shine Spray, this is the perfect all purpose cleaner. It can be used on any surface, but if you’re not yet a total pro, stick to Shine Spray for glass and mirrors. This is our go to cleaning solution that we use more than any other. Sparkle Spray has a pink label. GREEN SPRAY: This is a strong degreaser that is great for dirty kitchens. It works well on greasy stoves, microwaves, cabinet and drawer faces & backsplashes. Green Spray can leave streaks, so we use it sparingly and we check our work. This is an excellent choice when completing a Move-out Clean. Green Spray has no label and is bright green making it easily identifiable. BLACK SPRAY: This is a strong and effective cleaner, but unlike our other cleaning solutions, Black Spray can not be wiped away, it has to be rinsed away. This makes it perfect for sinks, showers, tubs and toilets. Black Spray has a black label. DISH SOAP: Dish soap is an awesome yet mild degreaser. It is safe on most surfaces. Can be added to the bucket when using The Bucket Technique for extra degreasing power. 35 THE DAZZLE WAY. THE DAZZLE CLEANING COMPANY, LLC. PLASTIC SCRAPER: a great choice for when there’s something small stuck to a surface. We wouldn’t clean a whole surface with a plastic scraper. 6. TILE BRUSH: these are great for cleaning tubs and showers. Since the lower you go the dirtier a surface becomes, it is often low on shower walls and bathtubs that a tile brush can save time and energy. It’s the tips of the bristles that are doing the work when using a tile brush, so we avoid pressing so hard on the brush that the bristles push out to the side. 36 THE DAZZLE WAY.
