It refers to the degree to which sentences (or even different parts of one sentence) are connected so that the flow of ideas is easy to follow. Cohesion Good cohesion is achieved through the following five main methods, each of which is described in more detail below: ✓ Repeated words/ideas ✓ Reference words ✓ Transition signals ✓ Substitution ✓ Ellipsis Reference Personal pronouns Near Reference Demonstratives Far Comparatives The definite article Is this correct?
