Homework Getting your chart signed Spelling tests each week to study for Expectations and Procedures DON’T WORRY, WE WILL PRACTICE THEM! Arrival Morning! 1. Greet Ms. Mullaney at the door :) 2. Hang your backpack on your hook and get out your Take Home Folder 3. Give any notes/mail to the Red Folder by the door 4. Put your Take Home Folder in your desk 5. Have 2 pencils sharpened 6. Begin your day with a soft start! Soft Start Choice of either STEM bins, read a book, games, brain puzzles, or work given by Ms. Mullaney Morning! Common Courtesy: Don’t choose the same activity every day and limit others from being able to use/play. 4 people max at the games/STEM bins Clean up ALL materials immediately when the Doorbell rings, at a Level 0 Can result in a fine if not! Dismissal See Ya! Do your classroom jobs! This is how you get paid Job not done = fine Grab any mail from your box, grab your book bag and go to your seat Get your take-home folder and pack it up Don’t forget your water bottle! Our classroom MUST be clean and organized before we are dismissed. I am strict about this! Voice Levels Talking? Level 0: No Talking / Voice is OFF Level 1: Whisper level 2: Normal / Table Talk Level 3: Presenter Voice Level 4: Recess or Emergency Transitions Doorbell Tune: Voices off, eyes on teacher, stop what you are doing Moving Attention: Quickly and quietly, hands in your lap, eyes & on me, voices at a Level 0 Grooving Lining Up: Quickly and quietly, put away materials, push in chair, and line up In Line: Number order, eyes forward, voices off, hands by sides Hand Signals Check out the hand signals on the board for how to ask/need: Moving A question & Bathroom break Grooving Pencil and more! Hallway Expectations I am strict about behavior in the hallways! Moving You are modeling for other classes and other grade levels (aka how awesome we & are!) We will NOT disrupt other students from Grooving learning Walking feet, hands to yourself, facing forward, Level 0, straight line Bathroom Expectations When is it appropriate or not? Good time: Before class, during work time, independent time Bad time: While I am teaching Moving Raise your hand with the hand signal & Sign out on paper Grooving Turn on light (blue for boys, pink for girls) Walking feet, Level 0 Directly to/from the bathroom, NO stopping! Come back, sign in, turn off light Other Things Water Bottles Little On your desk Things Water ONLY, no sports drinks, energy drinks, juices, etc. Remember to fill your bottle BEFORE school starts If you need to refill it, please do it at an appropriate time Materials Little Respect the property within our Things classroom Absolutely NO writing on the whiteboards or clipboards Only grab materials from the student center if you absolutely need them or do not have it Do not destroy your name on the desk Student Resource Center Little You’ll find: Things Classroom Jobs School Store Items Student Items Student Items Coloring materials Types of paper Early finisher work Student Resource Center PLEASE do not abuse the student resource center Little Take only what you need Things Know where to put things back Ask if you are unsure Green cart = $$$$$ NOT FREE!!! Library Little LOVE READING!!! Duh! Things You may have 3 books at a time Do NOT take books home!!! You may switch your books out at appropriate times Make sure to place your read books in the “Librarian” bin in the reading center Desk Organization Little Required to keep your desk tidy Things Desk Fairy Visits Bonuses (or fines!) Tribe Tickets You are in 4th grade, you know how to keep a desk organized! Oh, so you like rewards? Tribe Tickets Tribe Tickets will be used school-wide They are awarded based on: Rewards Safe Responsible Respectful What could you be caught doing to get a Tribe Ticket? When have you gotten one before and for what? Behavior Chart You will each have a weekly behavior chart You start the day off with 6 stickers Rewards Your goal is to KEEP ALL of the stickers! If you lose a sticker, we will have a meeting on why and what we can do better Your only homework is to get this signed each week, bringing it to me MONDAY Class Jobs You will have a class job in my room Jobs Paid vacation Either a morning or afternoon job Jobs are switched each week It is your responsibility to know your job You’ll be fined if it isn’t done You MUST do your job, it is not optional Bank System You will earn bonuses and fines in our classroom based on your behaviors! Rewards When I notice positive behaviors, you and/or your classmates may earn a fine which can go towards earning prizes, snacks, and more! More on our Classroom Bank System is to come tomorrow :)
