It provides the needed protection at the time the member’s vehicle is most likely to require repairs. MRC offers different levels of coverage to fit members’ needs. Exclusions & Excluded Vehicles Vehicles used for: Government or emergency services Salvage or rebuilt titled vehicles Trucks rated more than 1 ton Motor Homes Motorcycles Non-U.S. Specification Vehicles Modified Vehicles (except for Lift Kit / Leveling Kit / Lowering Kit & and Mobility equipment) Exotic Vehicles (e.g. Nissan GTR, Maserati, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.) General maintenance is not covered under any plan type Pre-existing conditions (condition that existed prior to the purchase of the contract/policy) (N/A in GA) Aftermarket items Other exclusions as listed in the contract/policy Gold and Silver levels of coverage: any system or component not specifically listed on the contract/policy. How is it paid for? Members can finance the cost of MRC with their loan so that it is included in their monthly loan payment (this is often the easiest and most convenient method). Additionally, the member could pay for the coverage by cash, check, or credit card to the credit union. Payment methods offered to the member are based on the credit union’s available options. After the credit union has received payment from the member, CUNA Mutual Insurance Agency, Inc. bills the credit union, and the credit union then remits the MRC fee/premium. Assurant bills CUNA Mutual Insurance Agency, Inc. directly. How much does it cost? Cost options (priced to risk) are based on (1) the vehicle manufacturer’s make, model, year, and mileage; (2) choice of term/miles of coverage; and (3) choice of deductible. Cancellation, Refund & Termination Coverage term expires when its time or mileage limit is reached (whichever occurs first). Coverage should be canceled if the vehicle is a total loss or repossessed. In the event the member requests cancellation of the contract*: Within 60 days of the Purchase Date and a claim has not been incurred, a 100% refund of the contract/policy price will be made. After 60 days or if the member has incurred a claim within the first sixty (60) days, a pro-rata refund of the unused Months or unused Miles will be made. The pro-rata refund will be calculated by multiplying the contract/policy price by the lesser percentage of the unused Months or unused Miles compared to the total Months or total Miles of Your contract/policy term, less an administrative fee/premium. The administrative fee is $50 except in CA where the administrative premium is either $25 or 10% of the refund amount, whichever is less. *May vary based on specific state language within the contract Contact & Claims Information Non-CA: Click here for step-by-step instructions in case of a breakdown.
