The Bali Dance is an aristocratic art that stresses refinement of gesture. In China pottery is the oldest form of art. India is famous for its Taj Mahal in Agra as its architectural masterpiece , or mausoleum was built in 1632-1653. Persia is noted for its famous rugs and carpets. Artistry is depicted in color, design and the meaning of the rugs and carpets. In Muslim countries, Calligraphy is connected with sculpture and architecture by supplying their decorative motifs and style to go with the decoration. The pavilions and temples in China linked to literature particularly in a Chinese or Japanese poems and graphic presentation, music, theater and dance. Calligraphy is the art of writing beautifully, generally in freehand, with pen or brush on paper or any similar material. It is used in countries using the Arabic alphabet or Chinese ideograms. The presence of artifacts in pre-historic archeological sites and the dates to which they are traced help reveal their origin in time and place. Stone tools have been excavated in Batangas, Cagayan, The Central Luzon Area, Davao and Palawan. In Palawan, Tabon cave was found, the earlier human remains; a skull cap which has been dated to about 20,000 B.C. known as TABON MAN, is named after the bird that laid thick layers of dungeon on the floor of the cave where it was found during Paleolithic of the old Stone age. The Manunggul Burial Jar 890 – 710 B.C. was found in Palawan and Named after the cave where it was found and called the Queen of Phil. Pre-historic artifacts. Aside from tools and weapons, man began to create cultural objects such as; RECEPTACLES Containers served as coffins and made of tree barks and fiber or woven in mats. POTTERY Some potteries found in the Philippine are from the late Tang and Sung dynasties in the 10th century. Samples of early works are potteries and stonewares. Some receptacles / artworks have also been found in the graves of pre-Spanish Filipinos as well as in the homes of mountain people and cultural miniatures who still treasure these attractive ceramics wares for their ritual values.
