Theme: a universal idea or Notes on Theme lesson explored throughout a work of literature, movies, and music. Remember: Themes can be applied to situations outside of the text! THEY SHOULD NOT CONTAIN CHARACTERS’ NAMES or SPECIFIC TITLES—They are general Theme Topics vs. statements.
