Literature can be defined as everything in print. It is a body of literary productions, either oral, written, or visual, containing imaginative language that realistically portrays thoughts, emotions, and experience of the human condition. Literature is a product of a culture that concretizes man’s array of values, emotions, actions, and idea. THE REGIONAL APPROACH TO READING PHILIPPINE LITERATURE In 2014 conference in Cebu city, senator Allan Peter Cayetano remarked that the national government stop giving the bulk of its national budget to metro Manila Metro Manila is nota the Philippines, Philippines is not Metro manila. The archipelagic nature of the Republic of the Philippines has made the country enjoy a rich biodiversity. While it is true that regional literature has been overlooked for so long, perhaps 21st century technology, particularly the internet can help build bridges across the archipelago for us to be able to indulge in regional literature. THANK YOU
