You will not suffer from malnutrition. 3. You will grow healthy. 4. You will be less likely to suffer from illness. What is Food Pyramid? Food Pyramid Is a pyramid-shaped diagram representing the optimal number of servings to be eaten each day. Food Pyramid Food guide pyramid served as the guide to achieve a balanced diet. A balanced diet must contain food from five major food groups: grain, vegetables, fruits, meat, and milk or dairy. In the Philippines, these five food groups are classified as go, grow, and glow food. Food Plate Is a pictorial food guide showing the proportion and types of foods that are needed to make up a healthy, varied and balanced diet. The MyPlate guide shows a plate divided into four parts. These four (4) parts are the following: 1.Fruit group 2.Vegetable group 3.Grain group 4.Protein group The dairy or milk group is located outside the plate. This idea is used to encourage everyone, especially children like you, to do the following: 1. Eat more fruits and vegetables 2. Balance calorie intake 3. Avoid overeating 4. Drink water instead of sugary drinks 5. Avoid unhealthy food Good health, however, is not just about having a balanced diet. You must also engage in physical activity regularly. Playing sports. Doing household chores, running, and biking and some of the activities you can do. Remember: The Food Pyramid and Food Plate are guides to avoid malnutrition and health problems like anemia, diabetes, and other related problems like underweight and overweight.
