# My Educational Philosophy ## Academic, Activities, Outdoor Education, Personal and Social Education and Service programmes For any school, imparting knowledge for leading a happy life is critical. For leading a better life, one has to know what is right for him/her and the society around him/her. As a teacher, I would like to share with my students the stories, incidents, beliefs and hopes (for a better life) apart from teaching the Academic subject(s) that I am supposed to teach. Imparting the subject knowledge and nurturing the good qualities will definitely see them in good altitudes. As the years run faster, the supplies from the mother-nature will be diminishing. We need to keep learning new methods to compensate the gap. Hence, Academics is the only method of doing that. ## Activities Activities are very important for any child to learn things in a better way. Instead of a simple talk and listen method, as an educator, I would like to use activities wherever possible. This makes learning interesting and easier also. ## Outdoor Education Outdoor Education is the real life example. Wherever and whenever is possible, pupils should be taken outdoors for learning. A child can learn easily from the surroundings. Be it an Industrial trip or to a museum or to a park, all are good for the children. I encourage it. ## Personal and Social Education Personal and Social Education are the traits one should have for a better life. Personal traits like hygiene, good food habits, Ethics, moral values etc., are important for every one of us. As a teacher, it is my duty to remind them about these, time and again. We should also nurture the qualities like tolerance, respecting others, empathising etc. Because, this world has people of various beliefs, ideologies, food habits, clothing style etc. We can't expect everyone to be like us. All are different and all have the right to live. ## Service to Mankind Wherever people are under privileged, we need to help them. This is the service to the mankind. Children should be made to know about the situation of under privileged and grow the habit of serving people. A teacher's role is not just pushing his/her expertise in the subject alone but to guide them in leading a good life. ## Exposure to Different Cultures As an experienced teacher, with exposure to different cultures, I will work around closely with the students and help them to learn good things for a better life.
