To list 5 examples of operational technique INTRODUCTION ▪ A OSH program is a definite plan of action designed to prevent accidents and occupational diseases. ▪ Must include the elements required by the health and safety legislation as a minimum. ▪ OSH program act as a key performance for health and safety policy PURPOSE ▪ Implementing the goals of policy ▪ Minimum, compliance with national laws and regulations ▪ Good operation of the organization’s OSH management system ▪ Continual improvement in OSH performance PLANNING OSH PROGRAM 1. Begin with: o Goals of the organization written in the policy o Legal and other requirements o Identified hazard and risks 2. Prioritise the needs of these requirements and set objectives and target for the organization to achieve. 3. Set objectives and targets. 4. Create action plans with datelines and responsibilities for completion. 10 WAYS TO CONDUCT OSH PROGRAM Tell your workers that making sure they finish the day and go home safely is the way you 1 do business.
