WAIVER OF LIABILITY  INTRODUCTION Esteemed Sir/Ma’am, Model UNs have always been a prestigious method of expressing diplomacy and critical thinking through well-structured debate, allowing students to develop essential real-world skills such as leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to conduct reliable research. They enable the youth to get involved in international affairs and become active participants in society. With that said, we, Beaconhouse Girls Campus Canal Side, cordially invite you to partake in the second edition of our much-anticipated conference, CSC MUN. For the longest time, we, at Girls Campus Canal Side, have been recognized for the success of our students in various creative and analytical activities, and have a noticeable reputation for having hosted excellent events such as VASSL and CSC MUN’22. We aim to continue this legacy as we embark on the exciting journey of CSC MUN III, providing delegates with the oppertunity to express their valuable opinions and to prove themselves through this showdown of diplomacy and debate. A superior option for those looking for a memorable Model UN experience, the CSC MUN team is looking forward to hosting all competent delegates as they strive towards greatness in this circuit. The conference will be held from November 8th to November 10th, 2024, at our Secondary School, Beaconhouse Girls Campus, Canal Side, Lahore. At CSGC, we are deeply committed to fostering the skills of public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership among our students, and the MUN conference offers an exceptional platform for this growth. This event encourages students to engage in thought-provoking discussions on pressing global issues while refining their skills in oratory, diplomacy, and formal communication. Last year, we had an overwhelming response from prestigious institutions, making it a highly successful and enriching experience for all involved. Each delegation must consist of at least 3 delegates with no more than one delegate per committee. Only one chaperone must accompany each delegation. Delegates must attend the event on campus for all 3 days. Delegates cannot leave the campus during the event and must wear their delegate cards at all times. Delegates must submit a copy of their School ID/Smart Card at the registration desk. Delegates must not bring medicinal drugs or intoxicants of any form i.e. vapes, pods, cigarettes, alcoholic drinks, etc. If found will lead to immediate disqualification of the delegate. Outdoor food items such as chewing gum and beverages including water bottles as well as perfumes are prohibited. Delegates must not smoke or appear on campus under the influence of any substance. All kinds of weapons or harmful objects will not be allowed inside the campus. Delegates must not abuse, bully, or misbehave with other delegates, Dais, or members of CSC MUN management. Filming or photography without consent will lead to an immediate confiscation of the device. Delegates must not be found near the areas restricted by management. Delegates must submit the full name of their team, team members, and institution at the registration desk. It is encouraged to complete registrations one week prior to the conference (payment excluded). All delegates must follow the dress code assigned by the management otherwise they won't be allowed to enter the school premises. Head delegates must notify CSC MUN management of any updates. No refunds will be given under any circumstances. If any delegate is found breaking the code of conduct, or is not abiding by the rules and regulations, strict action will be taken against them and may lead to disqualification.  WAIVER OF LIABILITY This form must be signed by each CSCMUN’24 delegate. You are requested to return this form along with your payment for the MUN registrations fee. Failure to get all necessary signatures will result in the registration not being confirmed. I, the undersigned participant from _______________ (name of institution), participating in CSC Model UN Conference 2024, hereby agree to waive any claims against and to indemnify and hold BSS GCCS harmless from and against any claims of liability, loss, theft, damage, and/or cost which may arise out of or relate to travelling to, participating in, and/or returning from CSCMUN'24. I understand that I am to be held responsible for any willful or negligent damage to property or premises of the conference venue. I understand that I will be held responsible for the replacement and/or compensation for any damage I may have caused. I give my consent that any photo, video, and other audio/visual material taken and/or recorded by the CSCMUN'24 management, featuring the undersigned, may be used and published for promotional purposes by CSCMUN'24 and/or BSS GCCS. I moreover agree to respect the decisions of the Secretariat at CSCMUN'24 and subscribe to the rules of procedure set out by them. I agree to not challenge the competence and/or credentials of the Secretariat and I agree to respect decisions made by the Secretariat at their discretion in the interest of furtherance of the objectives of CSCMUN'24. I declare that I will adhere to any additional rules promulgated by CSCMUN'24 before and during the conference, including but not limited to, those published in the conference handbook, and those announced to faculty advisors. I understand that refunds or other considerations will not be granted for any reason except as provided by CSCMUN'24 policy and procedure, and agree that any misdemeanor may lead to action taken by the CSCMUN'24 team, which may include expulsion from the conference with no expectation of refund.
