**CELL DIVISION PROCESS** ----- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------- 1. It is the process by which parents cell divides into two or more daughter cells. CELL DIVISION 2. Term applied to the process that repeats in during cell division is called as CELL CYCLE 3. It is the cell that divides into new daughter cells. PARENT CELL 4. The process that occurs in all the body's cell including hair. Cell division 5. Type of cell division that deals with gamete formation. MEIOSIS 6. One of the primary phase in the cell cycle that represent the resting stage. INTERPHASE 7. It is the phase where normal cell division occurs. MITOTIC PHASE 8. A phase during interphase where cell prepares for division. G0 phase 9. It is also a phase during interphase where cells are metabolically active. G1 PHASE 10. Phase under interphase where protein synthesis occurs. G2 PHASE 11. It is the division of the somatic cell in eukaryotic organism. MITOTIS 12. Phase of mitotic division with three major events including spindle fiber formation. PROPHASE 13. It is also called as specialized microtubules radiating from the centrioles. 14. The second phase of mitosis cell division where chromosomes align along equator. METAPHASE 15. Phase of mitosis where sister chromatids separate from each other. ANAPHASE 16. It is also a phase of mitosis that represents dis integration of spindle fibers. TELOPHASE 17. The last phase of the cell cycle where production of two daughter cell occurs. CYTOKINESIS 18. The process where single cell divides twice to produce four daughter cells. MEIOSIS 19. Refers to the number of sets of chromosomes in cells. PLOIDY 20. An organism that contains only one copy of chromosome. HAPLOID 21. Refers to an organism that receive one each type of chromosome from female and male parent. DIPLOID 22. It is known as the first stage of prophase 1. LEPTOTENE 23. A stage in prophase 1 where homologous chromosome begins to pair. ZYGOTENE 24. The process where homologous chromosome begins to pair is known as. ZYGONEMA/SYNAPSIS 25. The stage of prophase 1 where the cell is ready for crossing over. PACHYTENE 26. In this stage of prophase 1, the paired chromosome begins to separate from each other. DIPLOTENE 27. The last stage of prophase 1 where nuclear membrane breaks down and nucleolus disappears. DIAKINESIS 28. It is a phase where independent assortment occurs. METAPHASE 1 29. A phase in which sister chromatids remains tightly bound together at the centromere. ANAPHASE 30. The end of the first meiotic division where daughter cell has now half the number of chromosomes. TELOPHASE 1 31. Cell division where gamete formation occurs. MEIOSIS II 32. It is a phase where sister chromatids with in the two daughter cells separate forming four new haploid gametes. MEIOSIS II
