Recognize and know properties of major classes of biological molecules. 2. Know the characteristics of living things and each of their major groups. 3. Know the function of cellular organelles and cell membrane. 4. Be familiar with laws of thermodynamics and how they relate to living things. 5. Understand of the enzymes catalyzed reactions. 6. Understand of the competitive and non-competitive inhibition of biochemical reactions. Understand how cells harvest energy from chemical substances. 7. Understand how plants trap energy in light and use it to build biological molecules. 8. Know the cell cycle, mitosis and meiosis cell divisions. 9. Understand principles of Mendelian genetics. 10.
