Kennedy Expressway Compass Direction: From Manhattan to JFK: South-East From JFK to Manhattan: North-West 2) LA GUARDIA AIRPORT: Major Highways/Expressways; Grand Central Pkwy and BQE BEST ROUTES TO THE AIRPORT FROM LAGUARDIA AIRPORT KENNEDY AIRPORT TO: Take the Grand Central Parkway (east) to the Van Wyck Expressway (678 South) to Kennedy Airport. FROM KENNEDY AIRPORT TO NEWARK AIRPORT: Take the Belt Parkway (west) to the Verrazano Bridge and the Staten Island Expressway (278 West). Follow the Staten Island Expressway across Staten Island and cross the Goethals Bridge. Get on New Jersey Turnpike and travel north one exit to exit 13A, and then follow the signs to the terminals. FROM LA GUARDIA AIRPORT TO NEWARK AIRPORT: Take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, (BQE and Rt. 278) to the Long Island Expressway (LIE, Rt 495) which will take you to the Queens Midtown Tunnel and into Manhattan. Cross Manhattan to the west side and to the Lincoln Tunnel. Take the Lincoln Tunnel to the New Jersey Turnpike, South (Rt. 95) to Exit to Newark Airport. FROM LOWER MANHATTAN TO NEWARK AIRPORT: Take the Holland Tunnel to Route I-9 South and then the Pulaski Skyway to Newark Airport. FROM UPTOWN MANHATTAN TO NEWARK AIRPORT: Take the George Washington Bridge to the New Jersey Turnpike, South (Route 95) to Exit 13A to Newark Airport. FROM LOWER MANHATTAN TO KENNEDY AIRPORT: Take the Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Williamsburg Bridge and get on Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (287 East). Follow the BQE to the Long Island Expressway (495 East), and the LIE, Grand Central Parkway (East) to the Van Wyck Expressway (678 South) direct to Kennedy Airport. Or take the Manhattan Bridge to Flatbush Ave. At Grand Army Plaza exit onto Eastern Parkway and follow it to Buffalo Ave. Turn right on Buffalo Ave (turns into Rockaway Parkway) to Linden Boulevard. Turns left on Linden Boulevard and follow it into Conduit Boulevard, and follow signs for the Nassau Expressway direct to Kennedy Airport. FROM MIDTOWN MANHATTAN TO KENNEDY AIRPORT: Take the Queens Midtown Tunnel and the Long Island Expressway to the Grand Central Parkway. Take the Grand Central Parkway (east) to the Van Wyck Expressway (678 South) direct to Kennedy Airport. Or take either level of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge to Queens Boulevard. Follow Queens Boulevard to the Van Wyck Expressway (678 South) direct to Kennedy Airport. Or to avoid traffic in Central Queens, exit the Long Island Expressway r Queens Boulevard at Woodhaven Boulevard. Take Woodhaven Boulevard South which turns into Crossbay Boulevard. Turn left on Conduit Boulevard, and follow signs for the Nassau Expressway direct to Kennedy Airport. FROM UPTOWN MANHATTAN TO KENNEDY AIRPORT: Take the RFK Triborough Bridge to the Grand Central Parkway. Follow the Grand Central past LaGuardia to the Van Wyck Expressway (678 South) direct to Kennedy Airport. FROM LOWER MANHATTAN TO LAGUARDIA AIRPORT: Take the Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Williamsburg Bridge. Get on BQE (278 East) to the Grand Central Parkway (east) direct to LaGuardia Airport. FROM MIDTOWN MANHATTAN TO LAGUARDIA AIRPORT: Take the Midtown Tunnel to the Midtown Expwy/ LIE (495 East) then Brooklyn-Queens Expwy (North) then follow the Grand Central to LaGuardia Airport. FROM UPTOWN MANHATTAN TO LA GUARDIA AIRPORT: Take the Triborough Bridge to the Grand Central Parkway which will take you directly to La Guardia Airport. FROM LA GUARDIA AIRPORT TO KENNEDY AIRPORT: Take the Grand Central Pkwy (East) to the Van Wyck Expressway (678 South) to Kennedy Airport. FROM JFK AIRPORT TO THE BRONX: Take the Van Wyck Expwy (678 North) to the Whitestone Expwy (678 North) and the Whitestone Bridge to The Bronx. FROM LA GUARDIA AIRPORT TO THE BRONX: Take the Grand Central pkwy to the Whitestone Expwy (678 North) and the Whitestone Bridge to The Bronx Or Take the Grand Central pkwy to the Triboro Bridge to The Bronx. FROM JFK AIRPORT TO BROOKLYN: Take the Van Wyck Expwy (678 North) to Atlantic Avenue (West) Or proceed west on Belt Parkway. FROM LA GUARDIA AIRPORT TO BROOKLYN: Take the Grand Central Pkwy (West) to the Brooklyn-Queens Expwy (278 South), passing the Kosciusko Bridge on the way.
