GENERAL CATEGORIES AND TYPES OF FASHION ACCESSORIES Fashion accessories can create a different world in your eyes. You can wear the simplest clothes, but you can look like a million dollars. All you need is an elegant look, add a combination of fashion accessories to match your outfit. JEWELRY Refers to decorative items worn for personal adornment, such as rings, necklaces, earrings, pendants, bracelets, and cufflinks. Jewelry may be attached to the body or the clothes, and it can be made from a wide range of materials, including gemstones, precious metals, beads, shells, and enamel. In most cultures, jewelry can be understood as a status symbol, for its material properties, its patterns, or for meaningful symbols. CLASSIFICATION OF JEWELRY Fine Jewelry refers to all pieces of jewelry made from precious metals (gold and platinum) in combination with precious or semiprecious gems. This jewelry is generally expensive. Fashion Costume Jewelry refers to all pieces of jewelry made from other metals, including precious silver, or from unusual materials (glass, beads, and semiprecious or imitation gems. This jewelry is inexpensive, but excellent designing. FASHION COSTUME FINE JEWELRY JEWELRY FOOTWEAR refers to garments worn on the feet, such as shoes, boots, slippers, and sandals, that serve the purpose of protection against adversities of the environment such as wear from ground textures and temperature. HEADWEAR refers to any type of clothing or accessory worn on the head, including hats, caps, helmets, turbans, and hoods. Headwear can serve various purposes, such as protection against the elements, fashion, religious or cultural reasons, and social conventions. The materials used for headwear can vary widely, from natural fibers such as wool and cotton to synthetic materials such as polyester and nylon. Headwear can also be made from leather, fur, or other animal products. Some headwear may have a symbolic meaning or be associated with a particular profession or social status HAND COVERINGS Refer to any type of garment or accessory worn on the hands, including gloves and mittens. Hand coverings serve various purposes, such as protection against cold, heat, or chemicals, and to provide a guard for what a bare hand should not touch. They can also be used for fashion, sports, and work purposes FINISHING TOUCHES Refer to the final additions or adjustments made to an outfit to complete the look. These touches can be physical, such as adding a statement necklace or a belt, or they can be more abstract, such as choosing the right pair of shoes or bag to complement the outfit. TYPES OF JEWELRIES EARRINGS are ornament worn on the ears. They may have a backing for pierced ears, or screws, clips, or wires. Earrings come in many shapes and sizes, including ball, button, hoop, and drop. NECKLACE is an article of jewelry which is worn around the neck Necklaces are frequently formed from a metal jewelry chain Others are woven or manufactured from cloth using string or twine. RING is a circular band worn on the finger.It can be of metal, plastic, or wood jeweled or plain. Some ring has special significance, like a friendship, engagement, wedding, school, or signet ring other are purely decorative. BRACELET is an arm band of various types.There are linked bracelets, chain bracelets, identification bracelets, and charm bracelets. BROOCH is an ornament that is held by a pin or clasp and is worn at or near the neck.
