Therefore, please carefully choose the minimum loop length required. MINI 2,5 m For sheet metal thickness bigger than 2 mm, loop should be placed under the coil. Decoiler should be located at a minimum safety distance from the straightener in order to easily load the material and avoids strip breaking.  NOTA: In case of a decoiling line, see layout drawing in order to place the different ma- chines. 6.2 - SEALING Machine must be sealed. Please particularly check the alignment of the mandrel axis with the line axis and also the per- pendicularity and the right level of each machine. Except opposite specifications on the layout drawing, we recommend fixing by means of expan- sible pin. Before being dispatched, the machine has been wholly lubricated and controlled. 6.4 - SAFETY The following recommendations must be filled up when choosing the mounting site: To ensure efficient light on the line To ensure protection area against other moving machines (coil car) Periphical fencing around the machines to prevent accident during operation Electric, pneumatic supplies must include an emergency system to insulate the machine from other power supplies. These devices must be locked on request. The machine must be cut off before operation on it. This document is the sole property of Dimeco. Connection of the switch placed inside the electric box according to herewith connecting scheme During connection, take care of following points: 1. The connecting cables are available for use and their dimensions prevent any risk in case of current strength (see layout drawing and electric scheme). 2. The length of the connection cable is enough BP1163P.O.BOX1163 25003 BESANCON-FRANCE 7.2 - SAFETY CONNECTION Année de fabrication/Date: Type / Model : N° Série / Serial N° : Masse / Weight (Kg) : The loop tension safety should be connected to special terminals. The safety switch should be connected to the control box of the downstream machine. It will stop the machine when there is a strip tension. Under no circumstances will the manufacturer be liable for any physical or material damage ensuing a reasonably predictable improper or inappropriate usage of the machines. 8.1 - SETTING THE SHEET METAL 1. Unscrew the mandrel 2. Put the front lateral guides off 3. Set the rear lateral guides if necessary MINI 2,5 m 4. Insert carefully the coil into the mandrel, place it against the lateral guides in order to avoid shocks 8.2 - EXPANSION OF THE MANDREL 1. Centre the coil on the mandrel. Make mandrel expansion and if it is possible hold the coil with the mean of raising to make easier expansion 2. Put the front lateral guides in place For expansion without lifting device the jaw must be in upper position. 8.3 - TURRET ROTATION (DOUBLE DECOILER) The coil in loading position can be put in operation. The rotation of the turret is motorized. 8.4 - COIL UNBINDING In case of small width coils, place the front lateral guides. If the machine is equipped with a pressure arm, press the pressure arm roller against the coil be- fore removing the peripheral strapping and refer to the « Pressure arm conduct » paragraph. In all case, use gloves to handle the strip. This document is the sole property of Dimeco. It cannot be given to any third party, neither be used or reproduced without any written authorization 22 2384 - MEDIUM-DUTY SINGLE / DUAL DECOILER CAUTIONS BEFORE STRAP CUTTING 1 - Stay away from dangerous area during strap cutting 2 - Don't cut strap if anybody is in the dangerous area 3 - The lateral straps must absolutely be removed before the peripheral straps 4 - Stay ALWAYS on the opposite side of the strip beginning during peripheral strap cutting 5 - NEVER use manual shears which require to be in the dangerous areas 6 - Place fencing to prevent any coil bulking 7 - Keep the place clean. The straps must be deposited in the right containers. NEVER let the straps out of the containers. 8 - Achieve strap cutting operation. Don't let the coil with some remaining straps. 9 - Use personal security equipment as safety glasses, helmet, gloves, which are absolutely nec- essary during operation. 10 - Be responsible. All security regulations must be respected. This document is the sole property of Dimeco. P The pressure arm is pressed against the coil. You may unstrap the coil and uncoil the strip for introduction in the downstream machine, or strap the unfinished coil if necessary RED LIGHT ON: Danger, the pressure arm is not pressed P
