What is self? Where do we generally associate the concept of the Self? What are the goals of Understanding the Self? What are the perspectives that we are going to learn in learning the concept of the Self? What are the things that we are going to learn in unpacking the Self? What is Self and why learn it? Key point: It is important to understand how understanding or learning about ourselves is important not only for our present but also for our future endeavors. And in order to move forward and improve our lives, ample preparation is needed which needs various considerations and learning. "Self" is a term that most of us have heard ever since we were young, and we use in various ways and form. We have an idea of what it is, but is still very difficult to fully define and understand. Self can be defined as the core of the existence of an individual. Our uniqueness and similarities with one another is considered some of the manifestation of The "Self" and its Nature the self. The Nature of the Self "Self" is established to not only be defined as the observable characteristics of a person. It can also be considered synonymous to and related to several concepts, such as, ego, consciousness, identity, behavior, preferences, esteem, morals, and judgment are several examples of it (Chang, 1988). The goal of Understanding the Self To know To understand To preserve The Self from Various Perspectives Understanding the Involves concepts and theories from various Philosophical Self Schools of Thought, Sociological understanding of human nature and interaction with others, Anthropological aspects and as well as Psychological concepts. Unpacking the Self This part involves the various aspects of the Self that is manifested, these involves the establishment of one's identity and identifies the stand or preferences that defines us as a person. Taking Care of the Self This part covers various ways to manage and improve oneself. It involves areas on tips of becoming a better student, reiterates the importance of having goals, and emphasize the importance of handling stress and managing ones health. How cool is that?
