Text Features of Info Texts TITLE of PUBLICATION It tells the name of the magazine, newspaper, etc. TITLE OF MAIN ARTICLE Gives the main idea and sets the tone. HEADINGS They organize and indicate information within the chapter. BULLETS AND BOLD PRINT This makes key information stand out. MAPS, DIAGRAMS, CHARTS, GRAPHS, INFOGRAPHICS They summarize and present text information in a clear, concise way that is easy to see at a glance. CAPTIONED PHOTOGRAPHS They provide appealing visualizations and descriptions. The captions tell who, what, when, and where SIDEBARS These offer interesting and supportive information along the side or bottom.
