Teach Why would I thrive in this role? I thrive in roles that require adaptability, collaboration, and attention to detail. My experience at MUSC has honed my ability to manage priorities and collaborate with diverse teams under time-sensitive conditions. At Florence 1 Schools, I developed strong organizational skills by managing student data and coordinating with community partners. These experiences, combined with my proactive communication and ability to learn new systems quickly, make me well-suited to contribute to Nordic’s mission of improving healthcare through innovative technology solutions Tell me abt yourself!!! I have a background in customer service, office operations, and data management. In my current role as a Clinic Coordinator, I handle office operations* for a multi-specialty clinic with providers across the state. I schedule appointments, manage documentation, and serve as the liaison between patients and the care team Previously, at Florence School District One, I supported adult education initiatives, managed student data, and collaborated with students, staff, and community partners on outreach efforts. I created spreadsheets, reports for audits, and posters for events we had. While working remote at BCBS, I strengthened my multitasking skills by managing up to three live chats or two calls at a time while resolving claim issues and working through a queue. This role improved my problem-solving and my ability to explain solutions clearly. I enjoy administrative operations, collaborative efforts, and contributing to meaningful projects, making the Practice Specialist role at Nordic an exciting opportunity. Why this company? I’m drawn to Nordic’s mission of creating a healthier world by leveraging technology to improve operations and patient care. I appreciate the focus on collaboration, innovation, and professional growth, which aligns with my values. The Maxims, such as ‘Be open and direct’ and ‘Listen,’ resonate with how I approach my work as well as personal life. I’m eager to join a team committed to making a meaningful impact in healthcare. How Do I navigate remote work and balancing responsibilities? I navigate remote work and balance responsibilities by creating a structured routine that keeps me organized and focused. I prioritize tasks, break larger projects into manageable steps, and make sure to take regular breaks to stay refreshed. Communication is key—I actively connect with my remote team whenever I need support or input, which helps ensure tasks are completed smoothly and everyone stays aligned. This approach keeps me productive, adaptable, and able to maintain high standards in my work.n How do I deal with pressure or stressful situations? Dealing with pressure and stressful situations are bound to happen, I have had the chance to learn and equip myself to handle them accordingly. At the school district, during our Audit there was reasonable pressure on deadlines and documentation. This was still relatively new territory for me, it was a stressful week in the office but I was able to navigate that experience by reaching out to other counties who had completed their audit and other office support staff to help one another when needed. Similarly, at MUSC when there are stressful situations, I assess the situation, reach out for support if needed and navigate the best solution for patient safety and satisfaction. Why am I seeking this opportunity? While I’ve enjoyed my time at MUSC and have learned a lot, I’m ready to take on a role that offers new challenges and aligns better with my long-term goals. This opportunity excites me because it plays to my strengths in organization, communication, and collaboration, and it gives me the chance to contribute to efforts that improve healthcare operations and make a direct impact on patient care and provider wellbeing. I’m especially excited to work with the Digital Health/ERP team and support efforts that streamline healthcare systems and enhance clinician wellness. My long-term goal is to eventually lead a project or team, and I see myself growing within this role and company to take on opportunities that continue to align with my interest and goals. What is my experience communicating with another department? In every position I’ve held, maintaining strong relationships with other departments has been essential. At MUSC, I regularly coordinate with labs, providers, and other campuses to ensure smooth clinic operations. At FSD1, I worked closely with IT, finance, and other teams to support educational initiatives. I believe that effective communication ensures alignment across teams, benefiting both the organization and the consumer by keeping everyone focused on achieving shared goals. How do I resolve conflict? I am a direct person, and when I have conflict I go directly to whom said conflict is with and have it resolved. I’m a firm believer in extreme ownership. Even if I think I’m only 5% wrong and someone else is 95%, I can own my 5%, and do better. I do my best to not take things personally, and believe for the most part everyone is doing their best. The only real professional conflict I’ve had is usually just miscommunication or misunderstanding. Easy to resolve if you’re willing to apologize, take accountability, and figure out what you can do better next time. My strengths and the benefit they would bring to the team and company? My strengths are curiosity, connection building, and strong communication skills. My curiosity will help me identify client needs and understand candidates' experiences. My ability to connect with others will help with building trust and rapport with Candidates, Consultants, and Managers. My clear, proactive communication will ensure projects stay aligned, everyone is on the same page, and will allow me to address any challenges. A mistake? Not clarifying Dr Orellana schedule with her bc it said “provider request off” delayed fixing the issue. Once addressed we were able to escalate the issue and release the provider template to ensure no delay in care. This reminded me to clarify important details as well as promptly escalating issues when needed. Excel experience-In my role at Florence 1 Schools, I regularly used Excel for preparing reports and organizing data related to grants and student records. For example, I tracked and organized grant information by inputting key financial data into spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy for audits and reviews. I also compiled and sorted student data, including attendance and performance metrics, into Excel for reporting to district leaders. These tasks required me to structure and manipulate data efficiently using tools like basic formulas, sorting, and filtering, which helped ensure clear and organized information for decision-making. What aspects of your work tasks or projects did you like most and least? Why? Most Enjoyable Aspects: The aspects I find most satisfying in my work are engaging with people—whether it’s customers, co-workers, or management—and helping others. I thrive in environments that emphasize teamwork and effective communication, as I genuinely appreciate the collaborative spirit that comes with it. Additionally, I enjoy tasks that involve research and writing, as they align with my passions and strengths. Least Enjoyable Aspects: While my overall work experience has been rewarding, a notable challenge occurred during my time at the school district when our department underwent an audit by the SC Department of Education. As a first-year administrator, managing the extensive documentation and reports required was overwhelming at first. However, I saw this as an opportunity to improve my time management skills, learn efficient database navigation, and deepen my understanding of teamwork to meet deadlines effectively. What specific steps do you take to effectively prioritize tasks and ensure accuracy? To prioritize my tasks and maintain accuracy, I use a combination of outlining and time-blocking: Outlining: I start by creating a detailed plan for each task or project, including objectives, goals, timelines, and questions. I then fill in the outline with accurate and relevant information as the project progresses. Time-Blocking: I allocate dedicated time for each task, such as filing, scanning, or contacting patients/customers, to ensure steady progress and prevent bottlenecks. Example: When preparing reports at Florence 1 Schools, I used an outline to break down grant-related tasks into smaller components. I then time-blocked data entry, report formatting, and cross-checking deadlines to ensure every aspect of the report was completed on time and error-free. This approach consistently kept my work organized and manageable. Tell me about a time when you needed to learn something new to accomplish a task. Situation: While studying advanced mathematics in college, I struggled with some of the material. Task: I needed to learn and apply new mathematical concepts to pass the course. Action: I sought out tutoring, asked additional questions during class, and completed not only the assigned homework but also additional practice problems to solidify my understanding. Result: My efforts paid off—I passed the class with an A, demonstrating my ability to adapt and work hard to overcome challenges. Tell me about a time when you gathered information from multiple sources to solve a problem. Situation: Patients would sometimes arrive for scheduled appointments with no notes in the system about the reason for their visit, leaving them confused. Task: I needed to determine the purpose of the visit to provide clarity and peace of mind to the patient. Action: I searched through their medical records for clues, including recent provider referrals, recent discharges, or notes indicating any recent tests or procedures. I also checked to see if their previous provider had retired, which sometimes caused confusion. Result: By piecing together the information, I was able to explain the purpose of the appointment to fast paced work environments? I thrive in fast-paced work environments because they challenge me to stay highly organized, manage competing priorities, and maintain momentum. The sense of urgency in such settings allows me to stay proactive, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met. I enjoy the dynamic nature of fast-paced environments, which requires constant adaptability and a focused mindset to keep things on track. That said, I also excel in environments with a slower pace, as I am able to carefully think through tasks, build relationships, and focus on the details, which is essential for certain types of work. Whether in a fast-paced or slower-paced environment, I bring the same level of dedication, professionalism, and commitment to quality. I appreciate the opportunity to adjust my approach based on the needs of the situation, allowing me to thrive in any context.
