## About Minoan Chronology In addition to the above chronological system, which utilizes the terms, Early, Middle, and Late Minoan and which was essentially created by Sir Arthur Evans, another system was proposed by Nicholas Platon. | Period | Dates | | ------------------ | ---------------- | | Pre-palace period | Prior to 2000 | | Old Palace Period | 2000/1900-1750 | | New Palace Period | 1750-1340 | | Post-Palatial Period | 1340-1075 | One should remember that this chronology is schematic as well, and that some aspects are open to debate and subject to revision.
