When one person like the king has all of the power over the country. 3. What is the divine right of kings? The king or queen's right to rule comes directly form god. 4. Where did the Enlightenment begin? In Europe but mostly on France. 5. What are natural rights? Rights that you are born with. 6. Why was John Locke such an influential figure during the Enlightenment? That the king or queen should not have all of the power and that some of the rights need to be with us when we are born. 7. How do you give your consent (permission) to be governed in a modern-day democracy? You would sign a paper that tells you what will happen our you say yes or no form your voice. 8.
