In 1918, it became the first school in Hong Kong that required students to wear school uniform. The Principal In 1916 Dr. Catherine Woo returned from England after studying at Oxford The standard of the school quickly became higher thanks to her. 1920s- Moving Around As the enrollment was becoming higher and the school continued to receive praises from around, the original site was not big enough. Construction of “Red Building” The New Premises In 1927, after moving for 3 times, the school finally settled at 33 Macdonnell Road. The school raised a lot of money to get this site from the government. These are the entrances of the school. 1930s- School Badge Design The school motto “faith, hope and love” was shown on the badge. It was taken from the Bible. It also resembled a cross. 1940-50s- St. Paul’s Co-ed In 1945, School merged with St. Paul’s Boys to become St. Paul’s College. It is also the first co- educational college in Hong Kong. In 1950, it was renamed St. Paul’s Co-educational College and St. Paul’s Boys The school further expanded. moved to Bonham Road. 2001- DSS The school successfully became a Direct Subsidy Scheme school. 2002- New Site in Wong Chuk Hang Successful application for a new primary school site.
