Employment Agency (EA) Definition

  • Not an Employment Agency: a person who is employed by a business or organisation to manage its HR functions
  • An Employment Agency (EA) Personnel: a person who is employed by an EA to carry out EA-related work
  • Key Appointment Holder: a person who is responsible for the management and operation of an EA
  • EA-related work includes recruiting, placing, and providing employment services to employers and job seekers

EA Directory and EA Register

  • The EA Directory shows information on Licensed EAs, including their licence number, name, and address
  • The EA Register shows information on EAs, including their licence number, name, and address

EA Alerts and Demerit Points

  • MOM sends EA Alerts to EAs via email
  • EAs which breach the Employment Agency Act, Rules, or Licence Conditions will be issued demerit points

  • A Dependant of Employment Pass Holders who wishes to work in Singapore must apply for a Work Permit or Employment Pass

EntrePass and Personalised Employment Pass

  • The minimum paid-up capital for EntrePass is $50,000
  • A foreigner who wishes to apply for EntrePass must own at least 30% of the company's share
  • Personalised Employment Pass holders can work for any employer in Singapore

Employment Of Foreign Manpower Act
