Induction Introduction to the Roles Dear Interns, Welcome aboard! It’s great to have you with us. Ebenezer Coded Creations is renowned for its innovative contributions to tech culture. During your internship you will embark on your adventure into the Digital Technologies industry. You will learn how to create exciting digital solutions, how to manage projects, how to design user experiences, learn how internetworked systems work, and so much more. All our interns are treated as team members, so get to know the team well. They will help you out during your journey. Regards, Intern Management Team Stakeholders All projects involve interactions between: developer intern PROJECT project manager MANAGER client end user. DEVELOPER CLIENT INTERN Effective communication between stakeholders is critical to creating quality digital solutions. END-USER Developer Intern The developer intern is focused on engineering digital solutions to complex problems. Your role involves a diverse range of tasks including: designing user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI) writing code for the creation of digital solutions conducting meetings with stakeholders identifying functional and non functional requirements developing skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript — the languages of the web planning and developing projects managing projects, constructing timelines. Project Manager The project manager reports to senior management and oversees the project. Their role includes: ensuring the needs and requirements of the stakeholders are met supporting developers in their role ensuring that the project is completed on time ensuring that the deliverables for the project meet the appropriate benchmarks (quality assurance). Client The client is someone for whom the company is producing the services. Specifying the client’s needs are critical to developing an appropriate solution. Through careful interviewing you can also identify the functional and non-functional requirements. End-User End-users are the people we design the digital solution for. When designing for the end user you must consider: user experience user interface The end-user determines many non-functional requirements.
