Painting have seven (7) fundamental elements. Types of the elements: Line Form Shape Texture Space Color Value Lines The path created by a moving point, which can vary in width, direction, and length. Lines can be straight, curved, wavy, or jagged and are used to define shapes, create textures, and convey movement. Shapes Shapes is an enclosed space defined by lines or contrast in color or texture. Shapes can be geometric and freeform/organic shapes. Space The area within or around objects in a painting. Space can be positive or negative. Value The lightness or darkness of a color. Value is crucial in creating depth, contrast, and emphasis in a painting. Form It is an element of art that relates to the structure and volume of objects within the artwork, giving them a sense of depth, solidity, and realism. Texture Texture is one of the elements of art that artists use to create visual interest, convey meaning, and evoke emotions.
