WHERE DO NURSES WORK? Hospitals have many different parts where nurses work. Nurses spend a lot of time in the patient rooms, where they take care of people. There is also a nurse station, where nurses check patient information and talk to doctors. Nurses sometimes rest in the lounge during their breaks. The supply room is where nurses get things like bandages, gloves, and medicine. Some nurses also work in the emergency room to help patients who need quick care. Nurses use many tools and machines to help patients. They use thermometers to check temperatures and stethoscopes to listen to heartbeats. Nurses also use blood pressure monitors to see how well a patient's heart is working. In the hospital, nurses use computers to record patient information and check medicine lists. They also use wheelchairs and hospital beds to move patients when needed. A good nurse knows how to use all these tools and machines to take care of patients. They make sure everything is clean and ready to use. Nurses work hard to make sure patients are comfortable and healthy in every part of the hospital.
