1 Urinary System The urinary system is made up of: ▹ 2 kidneys ▹ 2 ureters ▹ urinary bladder ▹ urethra 2 Ureters Tubes leading away from each kidney. Carry the urine from the kidney to the urinary bladder. 3 Urinary Bladder Muscular sac. Urine collects and is stored here. When full, voluntary muscles will contract to squeeze the urine out through the urethra (urination). 4 Urethra A tube leading from the bottom of the urinary bladder. Carries urine outside the body. 5 6 Important Blood Vessels Renal Artery Carries blood into the kidneys to be filtered.
