Descriptive language is a technique used to add depth to a piece of writing. It’s the way that authors bring characters to life and create imaginative settings. Descriptive Writing For Instance In a descriptive essay, the primary goal is to make the reader feel like they are experiencing the subject the author has describing. For example, let’s say you’ve been assigned to write a descriptive essay about the role pizza plays in your campus culture.
