Enrollment no:24001105 Enrollment no: Abhishek Shrivastava Pragya Prasad THE SUBWAY OF 96 STREET “A peek into the morning hustle” The picture seems to be of a subway station located In 96 street of New York, USA. We can say so because of the display of advertisements of New York Eats and of a brand named “Seamless” established in USA. The picture showcases what seems to be an early winter morning because of the cooler tones surrounding the environment. This subway station seems to be stationed on the street. We can see there are 3 entrances to this station due to the numbering displayed. In my opinion, this seems to be an old and compact subway station due to the limitation of space and the rust visible on the iron railing above. The station looks neat and clean indicating that the hygiene is maintained on a regular basis. Glimpsing at the ends of the photo we can see two staircases disappearing as well. If we glance at the people in this scenario, we notice that the old lady carrying a red backpack seems lost as she is going to entrance for exiting instead of the exit side of the station. She also has a walking stick gripped in her hands signalling that she has trouble walking. On the other hand in the right hand side of the picture we see two men discussing what seems to be the directions and timings for the subway station. We could say that the guy in the blue shirt is apparently new to the city and is trying to get help from a citizen to navigate through transportation. We can derive that the subway is often used for daily commute given the bag packs and the luggage people are carrying around. The clothing that the people are seen wearing in the photograph such as hoodies and sweaters strongly points toward the onset of winter.
