Eastern philosophy believes that "the self" composed of each person's personal identity, consciousness, and core philosophies, is an illusion. Hindu indigenous believes that the self is made up of two aspects: "Atman" and "Brahman." ATMAN (self-soul) meaning "essence, breath or soul" or the "real self." It is considered by Hinduism as eternal; imperishable, beyond times. It is the true self that lies at the inner core of human identities and is only this inner core that is identical with God. BRAHMAN connotes as the highest universal principle, the ultimate reality on the universe. It is the pervasive, genderless, infinite, eternal truth and bliss which do not change.
