Module 12: Persons and Careers Anong pangarap mo? Module 12: Persons and Careers CAREER is defined as the combination and sequence of roles played by a person during the course of a lifetime. There are two other concepts that we often associate with the concept of career. Module 12: Persons and Careers JOB AND OCCUPATION A JOB is a position an individual holds doing specific duties. For example, Web Designer: A person who creates and maintains websites and web applications. An OCCUPATION is defined as the similar work for which people have similar responsibilities and for which they develop a common set of skills and knowledge. For example, people who are in the mental health occupation. Module 12: Persons and Careers is a common abbreviation in human capital that stands for Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other characteristics. KSAOs are attributes of an applicant or an employee that are used for personnel selection, performance appraisal, and career development. Module 12: Persons and Careers KNOWLEDGE refers to the body of factual or procedural information that can be applied, such as knowledge of foreign languages or computer programming languages. Knowledge is information or expertise that is generally acquired through education and technical training. Values are described as the collective conceptions of what is considered good, desirable, and proper or bad, undesirable, and improper in a culture. Now, Gen-Z is stepping into the spotlight, poised to significantly redefine the corporate world.
