Describe Therapeutic Impasses.‫ﻣﺸﺎﻛﻞ ﻋﻼﺟﻴﻪ‬ Definition of Relationship Relationship can be defined as an interpersonal process in which one person facilitates the personal development or growth of another. The process takes place over a period. The process involves helping the other person to mature, to become more adaptive, more integrated and to open his or her own experience; or to find meaning in her present situation. The nurse-patient relationship  Relation is a results from a series of interactions between a nurse and patient over a period of time. The nurse will focus on the needs and problems of the person or family while using the scientific knowledge and specific skills of the profession. This helping relationship develops through interest in, encounter with and commitment to the person. ‫ﺗﺘﻄﻮر ﻋﻼﻗﻪ اﻟﻤﺴﺎﻋﺪه ﻫﺬه ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل اﻻﻫﺘﻤﺎم ﺑﺎﻟﺸﺨﺺ واﻟﻠﻘﺎء ﻣﻌﻪ واﻻﻟﺘﺰام ﺑﻤﺴﺎﻋﺪﺗﻪ‬ CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HELPING RELATIONSHIP 1. RAPPORT ‫ﻋﻼﻗﻪ‬ Creating a sense of harmony between individuals. In order to establish rapport quickly, you must have the following social skills. A warm, friendly manner, appropriate smile and comfortable eye contact. Ability to treat the other as an equal, to eliminate social barriers, to convey acceptance and to promote a sense of trust. ‫اﻟﻘﺪرة ﻋﻠﻲ ﻣﻌﺎﻣﻠﻪ اﻻﺧﺮ ﻋﻠﻲ ﻗﺪر اﻟﻤﺴﺎواة وﺗﻘﺒﻞ اﻻﺧﺮ وﺗﻌﺰﻳﺰ اﻟﺸﻌﻮر ﺑﺎﻟﺜﻘﻪ‬ Ability to fiind a common interest or experience.‫ﻧﻘﻞ اﻟﺨﺒﺮة واﻻﻫﺘﻤﺎﻣﺎت اﻟﻤﺸﺘﺮﻛﺔ‬ Ability to show a keen, ‫اﻇﻬﺎر اﻻﻫﺘﻤﺎم اﻟﺸﺪﻳﺪ واﻟﺘﻌﺎﻃﻒ‬sympathetic interest in the other, to give him or her full attention, to listen carefully and to indicate there is plenty of time.‫اﻻﺷﺎره اﻟﻲ وﺟﻮد ﻣﺘﺴﻊ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻮﻗﺖ‬ 5. Unconditional positive regard and acceptance ‫اﻟﻨﻈﺮة اﻻﻳﺠﺎﺑﻴﻪ ﻏﻴﺮ اﻟﻤﺸﺮوﻃﻪ واﻟﻘﺒﻮل‬ Two qualities often described as essential to a relationship are positive, warm feelings and acceptance ‫ﻏﺎﻟﺒﺎ ﻣﺎ ﻳﺘﻢ وﺻﻒ ﺻﻔﺘﻴﻦ اﺳﺎﺳﻴﺘﻴﻦ ﻟﻠﻌﻼﻗﻪ وﻫﻤﺎ‬ ‫اﻟﻤﺸﺎﻋﺮ اﻻﻳﺠﺎﺑﻴﻪ واﻟﻘﺒﻮل‬  4. EMPATHY ‫اﻟﺘﻌﺎﻃﻒ‬  Empathy is the ability to sense the patient’s private world as if it were your own. ‫اﻟﺘﻌﺎﻃﻒ ﻫﻮ اﻟﻘﺪره ﻋﻠﻲ اﻟﺸﻌﻮر ﺑﺎﻟﻌﺎﻟﻢ اﻟﺨﺎص ﻟﻠﻤﺮﻳﺾ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻟﻮ ﻛﺎن ﻋﺎﻟﻤﻚ اﻟﺨﺎص‬ You can sense the patient’s anger, fear or confusion as if it were your own. ‫وﻳﻤﻜﻨﻚ ان ﺗﺸﻌﺮ ﺑﻐﻀﺐ اﻟﻤﺮﻳﺾ او ﺧﻮﻓﻪ وارﺗﺒﺎﻛﻪ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻟﻮ ﻛﻨﺖ ﺗﺸﻌﺮ ﺑﻐﻀﺒﻚ اﻧﺖ‬ Certain qualities enhance empathetic skills: ‫ﺑﻌﺾ اﻟﺼﻔﺎت ﺗﻌﺰز ﻣﻦ ﻣﻬﺎرات اﻟﺘﻌﺎﻃﻒ‬ The ability to empathize varies with the patient time and nurse. ‫ﺗﺨﺘﻠﻒ اﻟﻘﺪره ﻋﻠﻲ‬ ‫اﻟﺘﻌﺎﻃﻒ ﺑﺎﺧﺘﻼف وﻗﺖ اﻟﻤﺮﻳﺾ واﻟﻤﻤﺮﺿﻪ‬ Certainly, a general interest in people, ‫اﻻﻫﺘﻤﺎم اﻟﻌﺎم ﺑﺎﻟﻨﺎس‬ basic knowledge of human behavior. ‫ﻣﻌﻠﻮﻣﺎت اﺳﺎﺳﻴﻪ ﻋﻦ اﻟﺴﻠﻮك اﻟﺒﺸﺮي‬ and a warm, fllexible personality. ‫اﻟﺸﺨﺼﻴﻪ اﻟﻤﺮﻧﻪ اﻟﺪاﻓﺌﻪ‬ Empathy involves the following dimensions: ‫اﻻﺑﻌﺎد‬ Tone ‫ –اﻟﻨﻐﻤﻪ‬expressing warmth and spontaneity nonverbally and verbally. ‫اﻟﺘﻌﺒﻴﺮ‬ ‫ﻋﻦ اﻟﺪﻓﺊ واﻟﻌﻔﻮﻳﻪ ﺑﺸﻜﻞ ﻟﻔﻈﻲ وﻏﻴﺮ ﻟﻔﻈﻲ‬ Pace – timing remarks ‫اﻟﺘﺼﺮﻳﺤﺎت وﺗﻮﻗﻴﺘﻬﺎ‬or behavior appropriate to the patient’s feelings and needs. Perception – abstracting the core or essential meaning of patient concerns; discussing them with him/her in acceptable terms.‫ادراك اﻫﺘﻤﺎﻣﺎت اﻟﻤﺮﻳﺾ وﺗﻠﺨﻴﺺ اﻟﻤﻌﻨﻲ‬ ‫اﻟﻤﻬﻢ وﻣﻨﺎﻗﺸﻪ اﻟﻤﺮﻳﺾ ﺑﺎﺳﻠﻮب ﻣﻨﺎﺳﺐ‬ Leading – formulating questions or statements that move the interview in the direction of the patient’s concerns. ‫ وﻫﻲ ﺻﻴﺎﻏﻪ اﻻﺳﺌﻠﻪ او اﻟﺒﻴﺎﻧﺎت ﺑﺎﺗﺠﺎه اﻫﺘﻤﺎﻣﺎت اﻟﻤﺮﻳﺾ‬: ‫اﻟﻘﻴﺎده‬ Empathy is not the same as sympathy or pity ‫اﻟﺘﻌﺎﻃﻒ ﻟﻴﺲ اﻟﻌﻄﻒ او اﻟﺸﻔﻘﻪ‬ 5. GOAL FORMULATION ‫ﺻﻴﺎﻏﻪ اﻻﻫﺪاف‬ General goals of the nurse-patient relationship include: Increasing the patient's self-esteem and promoting a positive self-concept and sense of security. Decreasing the patient's anxiety to a minimum. ‫ﻗﻠﻖ اﻟﻤﺮﻳﺾ ﻳﻘﻞ ﻟﻠﺤﺪ اﻻدﻧﻲ‬ Providing a gratifying, positive experience.‫ﺗﻘﺪﻳﻢ ﺗﺠﺮﺑﻪ ﻣﺮﺿﻴﻪ اﻳﺠﺎﺑﻴﻪ‬ Assisting the patient's in improving communication skills and in participating comfortably with others Providing the opportunity for the person to grow emotionally. Maintaining and stimulating the person biologically, mentally, emotionally and socially. 6. HUMOR‫ اﻟﻔﻜﺎﻫﻪ او اﻟﺪﻋﺎﺑﻪ‬. Humor does not necessarily mean joking and teasing. Humor may be expressed as a tiny smile. The purposes of humor include: Releasing tension, anxiety or hostility. Cautiously distracting from sadness, crying or guilt. ‫ﺻﺮف اﻻﻧﺘﺒﺎه ﻋﻦ اﻟﺤﺰن‬ Decreasing social distance.‫ﺗﻘﻠﻴﻞ اﻟﺤﻮاﺟﺰ اﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﻪ‬ Conveying a sense of empathy to another.‫ﻧﻘﻞ اﻟﺸﻌﻮرﺑﺎﻟﺘﻌﺎﻃﻒ ﻣﻊ اﻻﺧﺮ‬ Expressing warmth and affection. ‫اﻟﺘﻌﺒﻴﺮ ﻋﻦ اﻟﺪفء و اﻟﻤﻮده‬ Encouraging learning or task accomplishment. ‫ﺗﺸﺠﻴﻊ اﻟﺘﻌﻠﻢ وإﻧﺠﺎز اﻟﻤﻬﺎم‬ Denying painful feelings or a threatening situation.‫اﻧﻜﺎر اﻟﻤﺸﺎﻋﺮ اﻟﻤﺆﻟﻤﻪ واﻟﺘﻬﺪﻳﺪ‬ Thank you
