Involves a number of meetings with the same mentor over a period of time. Requires higher levels of commitment. Training is provided. 2. Informal mentoring Providing a mentee with the advice and support through informal mentoring relationships (e.g, through network). Unstructured. Training is not provided. 3. One-stop mentoring advice A mentee (or a student) select the expert mentor in the required field. One time meeting. Academic, physiological, and career Maintains the privacy and confidentiality of the mentees. Makes sure that the mentees don’t make any mistakes Prepared by Mahmoud Alkhateeb/College of nursing Developing The mentor observes, listens and identify the red-flags (e.g., defects, not listening, poor communication, etc.) that they recognize in their mentees' performance. The mentor highlights the positive qualities needed by the mentee and work to develop them.
