Identify the different methods of collecting data. What is Data?  Data are simply units of information.  Data are measured, collected, reported, analyzed, and used to create data visualizations such as graphs, tables or Images. Types of Data 1. Quantitative Data  A numerical information or data that can be measured and expressed in numbers. 2. Qualitative Data A categorical measurement expresses information or data that does not have a number associated with it. Source of Data 1. Primary Data  Primary data are those that are collected for the first time and are original. 2. Controlled  Generally compares the result obtained from an experimental sample against a control sample.  Types of Experiment B. Natural or Quasi-Experimental  Relies solely on observations of the variables of the system under study.  Types of Experiment C.
