The Assumption Proclaimed in 1950 by Pope Pius XII, this dogma teaches that Mary was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory at the end of her earthly life. It reflects her close union with Christ and her role as a model of faith. Who Is St. Joseph? Foster father of Jesus and husband of the Virgin Mary. Known for his silent but steadfast presence in the Gospels. A man chosen by God to protect and nurture His Son. Key moments featuring St. Joseph: Angel's message in a dream (Matthew 1:20- 21).
