Why reflect in Entrepreneurship Three worlds of entrepreneurship education The entrepreneur world (characteristics of an entrepreneur) The process world (the steps of new venture creation) The cognition world (how do entrepreneurs think) The foundations of “how” entrepreneurs think leads to understanding the “Why” of the “What” entrepreneurs do. Hence, enabling a model of entrepreneurship as a mindset and a skillset that can be used in all types of contexts. Reflection ! Reflective Practice framework (Brockbank and McGill, 2007) Steps/Phases: Narrative – Return to an event and describe what happened. Percipient – Think about the perceptions and reactions involved. Analytical – Thinkabout the situation analytically. Evaluative – evaluate the experience. Critical – Consider implications for thefuture. E x a m p l e Q uesti o ns Narrative What took place ?
