Wallas believes that the creativity process consists of different stages during which the new creative idea is born. | Stage | Description | |---|---| | **Preparation** | In this stage we consume various sources of information and collecting data and investing variety of existing ideas. In this stage, we open the mind & Exploring the problems. | | **Incubation** | Subconsciously processing ideas while stepping away from problems. Taking steps back from actively thinking of your problem. Give your ideas space before you launch back in. | | **Illumination** | Experiencing a sudden insight- what we call "The A-ha Moment" (moment of clarity). State of flow & Crystalizing. Everything clicks into place, and you know exactly where you are going. | | **Verification** | Evaluate & Refining the idea to implement it effectively. Bring your vision to life. Testing outcomes & adding finishing touches. (Among other reasons) | | **Stage 2: Initiating creative ideas (Incubation)** | The focus must be concentrated on the problem to become clearer. Ideas should be purified, arranged, and organized. Also, the mind ought to be liberated from ideas that are irrelevant to the problem. | | **Stage 3: Illumination, Verification & application** | Undergoing a sudden insight or a brilliant idea. The creative idea should be Evaluated, refining & fixed, and the results should be monitored. The desired creative idea is adopted and employed, & work is done to implement it. | | **Stage 4 Consistency** | It is the stage in which the creative idea merges within the work environment as it becomes linked to the culture, standards, values, and the regular procedures of organization. | ### Fourth: The 4-C Model (Beghetto and Kaufman): For a long time, it was believed that there are only two levels of creativity that people can achieve. * **Little-c creativity:** Small daily creativity, which creates value for a person and those close to him/her but does not affect the whole world. (can be present in almost everyone) > إبداع يومي صغير، يخلق قيمة للإنسان والمقربين منه، لكنه لا يؤثر على العالم كله. * **Big-c creativity:** Refers to people whose new ideas influence the world and are seen as creative icons who have changed their fields. These are often the people in history books. > هو الإبداع الذي يشير إلى الأشخاص الذين تؤثر أفكارهم الجديدة على العالم ويُنظر إليهم على أنهم أيقونات إبداعية غيرت مجالاتهم. غالبًا ما يكون هؤلاء هم الأشخاص في كتب التاريخ. These ideas prevailed until 2009 when James Kauffman and Ronald Beghetto published a paper about the 4-c model of creativity. **THE 4-C MODEL OF CREATIVITY:** **Mini-C (Interpretive Creativity):** * Unintentional creativity. * Personal & about Learning for oneself. * Transform learning & personally meaningful. * Interpretation of actions, experiences, and insights. * Its impact is on individuals and changes in our understanding. > **الابداع التفسيري** **Little-C (Intentional Creativity):** * Intentional creativity. * Personal & about Learning for oneself * It is a small everyday creativity. * Its impact is on individuals and zone of influence > **الابداع اليومي** **Pro-C (Professional Creativity):** * Pro-C is professional expertise and development. * It is the expert's creativity. * Experienced people & teams w/n an org., community or domain. * Impact is on Org., system of practice, or market. > **أبداع الخبراء** **Big-C (Eminent Creativity):** * Big-C involves mastery and innovation that is difficult to achieve. * It is genius & innovative that is difficult to achieve. * It is eminent activity for exceptional people. * Its impact is on culture, society, or the whole world. > **الابداع المتميز** ### The 4-C Model Practice & Answers 1.
