Joe Crowley Student Union Tour Checklist General Information ❏ Completed and dedicated on November 16, 2007 ❏ Named after former president Joe Crowley, who served Nevada and his students for a record setting 23 years ❏ Funded by self-assessed student fees as approved by Nevada Board Regents ❏ Normally open until 10pm on weekdays or 7pm on the weekends (or Normally open until midnight) ❏ Considered a green environmentally friendly building ❏ Storm water runoff is managed through permeable paving on the plaza ❏ Mini nevada stickers are on some of the windows to help lower heat flow through windows ❏ The carpet, tile, and furniture are made of recycled materials ❏ Heating, cooling, and lighting is energy efficient ❏ Solar panels help create power 1st Floor ❏ Starbucks Coffee: Painted Nevada Silver and Blue with special permission. When it was built, it was the largest west of the Mississippi River on a college campus. ❏ Wells Fargo: It’s a banking Center (no Cash). They have every other banking capability. ❏ KEVA Juice: Reopened in July 2021, offering smoothies, juice, and food ❏ Nevada Wolf Shop: Owned by Barnes and Noble, registered Apple distributor, and has wolf pack gear ❏ Nevada Wolf Card Office: Students can get Photo Student ID’s. The first card is free at orientation. Wolf card used to gain entrance to residence halls, university events, and check out books and other items from The Knowledge Center. 2nd Floor ❏ 15th Street Food Court which includes ❏ Port of Subs, Panda Express, Soho Sushi Burrito, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, Boba & Beyond ❏ Wolf Shop Bookstore: price matching, technology, textbooks, school supplies ❏ Fraternity and Sorority Life & New Student Initiatives Offices ❏ Bank of America ATM 3rd Floor ❏ Associated Students of The University of Nevada, student government with three branches, sponsor over 250 clubs (Pack Provisions, Nevada Student Closet, Pack Rides Office, Sagebrush) ❏ Theater, seats 219 ❏ ASUN Senate Chambers ❏ Graduate Association student lounge ❏ The Multicultural Center: Is a critical hub of cultural, LGBTQIA, gender-focused services, programs, and social justice initiatives ❏ The Habit Burger Grill: only eatery in the student union that offers meal trade options 4th Floor ❏ Ballrooms: Often holds Career and Internship fairs throughout the semester. ❏ Joe Administrative office
